Sporting facilities allocation and usage
Council has 58 sporting ovals and 30 pavilions, located within local parks and reserves. A number of these facilities are available for community use, via casual bookings or a club seasonal allocation.
Casual and seasonal sporting facilities
Organisations can book Council’s sporting facilities by one of two ways:
Casual bookings
Casual bookings are available at a number of Councils sporting facilities during the hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday only.
Casual bookings are priced as one off bookings, with weekly term bookings and interschool carnivals available to Maroondah based schools.
Seasonal allocations
Seasonal allocations are available to Maroondah based sporting organisations, and are available in two seasons:
- Summer - running from 1 October to 31 March
- Winter - running from the 1 April to 20 September.
Allocations are available Monday to Friday, from 4pm and all-day Saturday and Sunday.
Seasonal allocations are allocated via an expression of interest for existing sporting clubs only.
How to book
To book a Council sporting facility, Council has implemented an online booking system which now caters for all casual and seasonal bookings.
The online booking system allows all organisations/individuals to view facility availability, associated amenities, photos and pricing and provide an opportunity for you to book as desired.
