Guest speakers
Hannah Moloney
Keynote speaker Hannah Moloney is a TV presenter on ABC’s Gardening Australia, permaculturalist, author and climate activist.
Hannah is a recipient of the 2015 Tasmanian ‘Young Landcare Leader Award’ for her work in urban agriculture and the 2021 Permaculture Australia ‘Community Service Award’. As an ambassador of Community Gardens Australia she’s a regular supporter for people working in this space. Her first book ‘The Good Life: How To Grow A Better World’ (2021) explores ways to counter the climate emergency individually and collectively.
As an activist, Hannah is fuelled by radical hope and the deeper knowing that ordinary humans are capable of doing extraordinary things, especially when they collectivise for the greater good.
Gilbert Rochecouste
Event MC Gilbert Rochecouste is recognised as one of the most inspiring public speakers in the areas of placemaking, community renewal and creating great places.
Gilbert is an expert placemaker and founder of Village Well, Australia’s first placemaking consultancy, with 30 years of proven success in connecting people to place. His passion is to create places that people love and believes the village life is central to our personal and collective human health.
Gilbert endeavours to ‘open the hearts and minds of humanity to a life nourishing story’ and we are thrilled to have his joyful, creative and dynamic energy guiding the event.
