Gravel and unmade roads
Council is responsible for the management of unmade and partially constructed roads in Maroondah.
You can report any hazards associated with our roads to Council by calling 1300 88 22 33.
Unmade roads
Unmade roads are defined as roads with a gravel surface.There are 23 unmade roads within Maroondah with a total length of approximately 9km.
These roads are maintained in accordance with the levels of service documented within our Road Management Plan.
Each unmade road requires:
- one grading per year
- rectification of any potholes as required.
Partially constructed roads
Partially constructed roads are defined as roads with an asphalt surface without concrete kerb & channel. There are 25 partially constructed roads within Maroondah, totalling approximately 5km.
These roads are also maintained in accordance with the levels of service documented within Council’s Road Management Plan.
Partially constructed roads require maintenance activities such as:
- rectification of potholes
- reinstatement of linemarking.
