Croydon Major Activity Centre Structure Plan
In 2006, Maroondah City Council prepared the first Structure Plan for the Croydon Major Activity Centre (MAC) area. The area has seen significant changes since the first structure plan was prepared.
Following community consultation in 2021 on what Croydon means to the community, Council has prepared a draft Croydon Major Activity Centre Structure Plan.
You can read more about how we used that feedback to develop the draft Structure Plan on the Croydon MAC Issues and Opportunities on our Your Say page.
The draft Structure Plan includes a shared vision for the area, six key themes across nine precincts in Croydon, along with key objectives to help guide growth across high-quality streets, laneways, public open space, heritage character, creek and wetland areas and amenity.
2006 Croydon Town Centre Structure Plan
The Croydon Town Centre Structure Plan was adopted by Maroondah City Council on 17 June 2006. The Plan builds on the vision and the four themes of activities, built form, spaces and access, and addresses future development, housing opportunities, transport, economic and social issues.
The plan is available in the following ways:
- for viewing at Council Service Centres
- on CD-ROM
- printed copies
- download from our website (please note that these are large files due to the inclusion of maps and diagrams).
