Council have completed the improvement works at Springfield Park.
As part of the works the existing turf will be replaced with Santa Ana couch grass, a drought tolerant turf.
The new grass sprigs will require extra irrigation which will leave the surface very wet.
As a result, the sportsfield will be closed to ensure community safety.
