The playground at Little John Reserve in Warranwood is being renewed.

The new playspace will provide inclusive structural play elements that promote physical activity, social interactions, problem solving, risk taking, lead and follow, inclusion, cooperation and sharing.

Features will include:

  • 1 main play unit which will include two slides (1 x junior, 1 x senior) and an assortment of elements suitable for junior and teenage play.
  • 2 upper body elements which include monkey bars and a track slide.
  • 2 standalone elements including a spinner and a rocker.
  • 1 two-bay swing unit.

The scope of the works also includes the renewal of the basketball/netball court and the installation of a new picnic table and bench seat.

Both the basketball/netball court and playspace renewal are due for completion by late 2024, subject to contractor and material availability.
