Lincoln Road footpath works

As part of Council’s ongoing commitment to footpath construction and improvement work, funding has been made available for the construction of the missing links of footpath and formalisation of the gravel path along Lincoln Road in Croydon.

About the project

The works include:

  • Construction of a new concrete footpath on the northern side of Lincoln Road between Croydon Road and Arthur Place.
  • Construction of a new concrete footpath along the eastern side of Lincoln Road between Maroondah Hwy and Arthur Place.
  • Upgrading the gravel path to a concrete footpath along the southern side of Lincoln between 6 Lincoln Road and Dorset Road.
  • Installation of twelve (12) new streetlights on existing service poles at various locations along the southern side of Lincoln Road and the section between Maroondah Hwy and Arthur Place.
  • Construction of three (3) new light poles between 70 Lincoln Road and Dorset Road.

The works will include the reconstruction of several vehicle crossings along the extent of works to allow the concrete footpath to extend through the vehicle crossing at compliant grades. Modification works will also be completed at the Lincoln Road and James Road intersection to assist in safer vehicle and pedestrian movements.
