The construction of footpaths in Devon Ave, Dresden Ave, Erica Cres, Leoni Ave & Viviani Cres in Heathmont are planned in 2022.

As part of Council’s commitment to the construction of footpaths in Maroondah to improve pedestrian access and safety, footpath is proposed to be constructed in the following locations:
  • Devon Avenue - Southern Side between Great Ryrie Street & Leoni Avenue;
  • Dresden Avenue - Northern Side between Great Ryrie Street & Leoni Avenue;
  • Erica Crescent - Northern Side between Great Ryrie Street & the existing footpath in front of 23 Erica Crescent;
  • Leoni Avenue - Eastern Side between Dresden Avenue & Devon Avenue; and
  • Viviani Crescent - Northern Side between Leoni Avenue & Balfour Avenue 

The works will include:

  • Reconstruction of several vehicle crossings along the extent of works to allow the concrete footpath to extend through the vehicle crossing at compliant grades.
  • Removal of two trees as required to construct the footpath due to their significant root systems impacting the current nature strip.
