Emerald Street in Ringwood has been renewed to address deterioration of the kerb, channel and road pavement.

This project has been jointly funded by Council and the Federal Government through the Roads to Recovery Program.

The improvements include:

  • Road pavement reconstruction from Great Ryrie Street to Thomas Street
  • Reconstruction of concrete kerb and channel on both sides of Emerald Street (from Great Ryrie Street to Thomas Street)
  • Installation of new drainage pipes and pits
  • Reconstruction of pedestrian crossings and new concrete splitter islands with pedestrian refuge at the intersection of Emerald Street and Ford Street
  • Reconstruction of vehicle crossings
  • Other signage and line-marking upgrades
