The construction of footpaths on Eastfield Road in Croydon South are now complete.

As part of Council’s commitment to the construction of footpaths in Maroondah to improve pedestrian access and safety, footpath has been constructed in Eastfield Road, Croydon South.

Completed works include:

  • Construction of a concrete footpath on the north side of the road between The Pass and no. 47 Eastfield Road.
  • Reconstruction of several vehicle crossings to allow the concrete footpath to extend through the vehicle crossing at compliant grades.
  • Construction of a pedestrian refuge crossing between Shane Crescent and The Pass to link to the existing footpath on the south side.
  • An additional streetlight installed on the existing service pole outside no. 26 Eastfield Road to support the pedestrian refuge.
  • Tree & vegetation removal to support the footpath.
