Colchester Road, Kilsyth footpath construction

As part of Council’s commitment to the construction of footpaths in Maroondah to improve pedestrian access and safety, new footpath has been constructed along the eastern side of Colchester Road in Kilsyth South, between Canterbury Road and Collier Road. Community engagement was completed late last year and Council thanks residents for their positive feedback on the project.

Minor drainage and footpath modifications have also been made to the segment between Chandra Avenue and Jennings Road.

Minor amendments to the design included additional tree removal to allow for battering works, working with Council’s tree management team on planting the surrounding tree reserve. Tree planting works are scheduled to take place in the planting season of 2024 along the tree reserve between Chandra Avenue and Jennings Road once footpath construction has been completed.
