Low impact and walking sports in Maroondah
Participation in regular physical activity improves mental health, maintains muscle mass and flexibility (reducing the risk of falls), helps retain independence and is great way to meet new friends.
Low impact and walking sports are great if you want the fun of the game without the strenuous pace and intense contact and are perfect for players wanting to return to sport. Walking sports are versions of sports that follow the rules of the standard game, but the players walk instead of run and there is no physical contact or tackling. The games are offered in a friendly, non-competitive environment, where the emphasis is on movement and socialisation.
