Community Grants Program
Maroondah City Council supports projects that enhance community wellbeing and make Maroondah a heathier, supportive, resilient and more inclusive community.
The Community Grants Program offers three annual grants schemes to incorporated, not-for-profit community groups on an annual basis.

Community Development Grants Scheme
This scheme offers assistance up to $5,000 to incorporated, not for profit groups to develop programs, projects and events that enhance community wellbeing and increase participation.
Emergency Relief Grant Scheme
This scheme offers assistance up to $7,000 to incorporated, not for profit groups to develop and deliver programs and resources to assist vulnerable people and those at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.
Small Equipment Grants Scheme
This scheme is for requests of $750 or less to cover small equipment purchases, printing or administration costs to incorporated not for profit community support groups only.

This year, organisations applying for Community Development or Emergency Relief grants are required to discuss their proposed application with a Council officer. Council officers can provide insight, tips and suggestions on your proposed project and, where relevant, suggest other community groups you may wish to partner with.

Child Safety
Maroondah City Council is committed to being a child safe organisation where all children and young people are valued and protected from harm and abuse. We have zero tolerance for child abuse.
As part of our commitment to child safety and the Victorian Child Safe Standards, Council has child safety requirements in place to help ensure the safety of children and young people under 18 years of age when providing grant funding to other organisations, groups or individuals.
