Maroondah BMX also known as the Eastfield Eagles nest was founded in 1980. Originally located at Norton Park Croydon which was relocated in 1991 to Colchester Road Kilsyth.
Established for club aligned events and weekly training activities including club coaching and practice gate nights. The facility is open to the public at any time nonofficial events are on. Coaching is encouraged for children as young as 4 who can confidently ride the whole track on a peddle bike however mini wheelers as young as 2 do participate in club events for fun.
Maroondah BMX is also the home of some of Australia's best rider including the Turner brothers. Bodi Turner is the current Australian National Champ of 2022 and Rio Olympian. The club has a strong focus on developing girls in sports and have started welcoming more young female athletes every year. The club is open to all age groups and levels for anyone interested in trying BMX.
