Living Our Best Life Project

Logo

Living Our Best Life is a project aimed at reducing feelings of loneliness and social isolation in people aged 60 and over. It plays a vital role in improving health and well-being in the community.

Research shows that social connectedness can lead to longer life, better health, and improved well-being. It also shows that people who feel more connected to others have lower levels of anxiety and depression and have higher self-esteem, greater empathy for others, and more trusting and cooperative relationships.

Talking cafes are weekly drop-in sessions organised by the team and held in local cafes where participants can come together to socialise, learn about what’s happening in their community, and to make first contact with the project

Our trained volunteer Community Connectors can help you discover what is available for you and connect you with the right activity or service in your area.
