The Croydon Historical Society exists to preserve and disseminate the heritage and historical background of Croydon and its surrounds. This is achieved through research, maintenance of historical records and artefacts and education of the broader community through its publications and speaker programs.

The Croydon Historical Society meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 8pm. Meetings are held in the Glenn Frost Room next to Croydon Library, Civic Square, Croydon.

The Croydon Historical Society provide a museum which preserves and displays items of historic interest including photographs, original paintings, documents, artefacts and objects especially those that are of historic significance and are illustrative of the development of Croydon and district. The collection also includes a wedding dress!
