Our Achievements

The 2022/23 financial year saw Council continue to follow the roadmap outlined in the updated Maroondah 2040 Community Vision for the benefit of current and future generations.

Some of the major achievements during the 2022/23 financial year included:

• Progressing development of the Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct
• Continuing to redevelop sporting infrastructure across Maroondah
• Progressing development of the Ringwood and Croydon activity centres
• Working in partnership to strengthen the Bayswater Business Precinct
• Commencing the redevelopment of Karralyka
• Supporting cultural tourism and local creative industries
• Implementing the Waste, Litter and Resource Recovery Strategy 2020-2030
• Adopting a new Maroondah Sustainability Strategy
• Supporting works to the removal of three railway crossings
• Local traffic management improvements
• Opening of a new Indoor Cricket Training Centre, Maroondah Edge
• Adopting a new Heritage Action Plan
• Promoting intergenerational community connections
• Providing community grant funding to local groups and community organisations
• Implementing a suite of cybersecurity enhancements
