Strategy and plan publications scattered across a table

Council has adopted a wide range of strategies and plans inform Council’s delivery of services, projects and advocacy efforts.

Our plans and strategies are informed by key strategic documents outlining the Council's vision - documents such as Maroondah 2040: Our future together, Council Plan 2021-2025 and Council's Long Term Financial Strategy.

Plans and strategies are listed according to the community outcome area that they work towards.

A safe, healthy and active community

Children and Families Strategy

The Children and Families Strategy Council’s commitment to creating a connected community where all children and their families thrive.

Domestic Animal Management Plan

Our Domestic Animal Management Plan details responsible dog and cat management within the municipality, covering topics such as pet registration, restricted breeds and ownership limits.

Equally Active Strategy

The Equally Active Strategy builds on the recommendations of Council’s 2015-2020 Physical Activity Strategy which highlighted women as a specific population which will require targeted actions to make a positive impact on the current low physical activity levels.

Maroondah COVID-19 Recovery Plan

The Maroondah COVID-19 Recovery Plan provides a strategic overview of the intended community recovery outcomes within the Maroondah municipality in response to the global pandemic.

Open Space Strategy

The Maroondah City Council Open Space Strategy 2016 will direct open space provision and enhancement throughout Maroondah for at least the next 10 years.

Physical Activity Strategy 2024-2029

The Physical Activity Strategy 2024-2029 outlines strategies to get Maroondah residents moving more often.

Stadium Sports Strategy

The Stadium Sports Strategy will look at existing stadium facilities in Maroondah and surrounding LGA's, and identify any additional stadium facilities that will be required in the next 10 years to meet the demand for stadium sports in Maroondah.

Youth Strategy

The Youth Strategy is Council’s key strategic document regarding its work with, and for, young people aged 10-25 who live, work, study or play in Maroondah.
