Asset Protection

Maroondah City Council Local Law No. 11

Local Law No. 11 protects Council's infrastructure assets that may be affected by building works. Council's infrastructure assets include anything outside the property, such as vehicle crossings, footpaths, naturestrips, drains and pits, kerb, road pavement, trees, signs, poles and hydrants.

An Asset Protection Permit is issued to enable owners and builders to transport building materials and equipment across Council infrastructure assets.

Where required, an Asset Protection Permit must be obtained at least seven days before commencing building works.
