Are you a Maroondah young person aged between 12 and 25? Council’s “EV’s Hangout” program, at EV’s Youth Centre in Croydon, is open again for Term 3.

The first session will occur on Thursday 20 July, from 3pm to 6pm.

Maroondah Councillor Michael Macdonald said that EV's Hangout is a free drop-in program for Maroondah’s young people aged between 12 and 25.

“The environment at EV’s Hangout is a supervised and supportive one. As the name suggests, young people can relax and unwind, whether playing pool, board games or card games, listening to music, playing video games or accessing free Wi-Fi on our laptops. There are snack and drinks too,” said Cr Macdonald.

“An important part of the service is that young people have the ability to speak with a youth worker, should they need to. This could be about any problem or issue, or just for a chat. Youth workers can either provide support in areas such as school or work opportunities, or refer the young person on for other kinds of assistance,” said Cr Macdonald.
