Get creative at Wyreena in Term 3

29 June 2017

Each term, Wyreena Community Arts Centre in Croydon, offers a range of short and ongoing creative arts courses for children and adults of all ages, abilities and level of experience.

Wyreena Ward Councillor Michael Macdonald said that enrolments are now open for Term 3 programs.

“The creative courses at Wyreena span a range of art practices, including painting (in all mediums), drawing, pottery, sculpture and mosaics,” said Cr Macdonald.

“Plus, there are courses for mind and body such as yoga, pilates and meditation, as well as a book club and music appreciation group,” said Cr Macdonald.

“There are even after-school classes for school-aged children, which make for a great extra-curricular activity, without making a mess at home! And Wyreena offers a school holiday program too,” said Cr Macdonald.

“Learning a new activity and expressing yourself creatively is good for the mind. Plus, the Wyreena team offer a friendly and supportive learning environment, so it’s a great place to meet like-minded people or make new friends,” said Cr Macdonald.

“Wyreena Community Arts Centre is a wonderful resource for the community, and I encourage anyone looking for something engaging to do, to explore what’s on offer,” said Cr Macdonald.
