Hangout drop-in program closed for the holidays

EVs youth program

Council’s Hangout program, at EV’s Youth Centre in Croydon, will be closed for the up-coming mid-year school holidays.

The first program for Term 3 will run on Thursday 20 July.

Maroondah Councillor Rob Steane said the program is a great social outlet, as well as an important resource for young people.

“EV’s Hangout is a safe and relaxed space for young people to hang out with friends. Young people, aged 12 to 25, can drop in at any time, between 3pm and 6pm, and enjoy free snacks, while engaging in a range of fun activities,” said Cr Steane.

“Youth workers are on hand to supervise each session, as well as to provide guidance and referrals to people who need help or someone to talk to,” said Cr Steane.

“If anyone requires assistance during the break, they are welcome to contact Council’s Youth Services team on 9294 5704, to make an appointment to see one of our friendly youth workers,” said Cr Steane.
