Vacation care

Want to keep the kids active and entertained these July school holidays but stuck for ideas?

Maroondah City Council offers a fantastic school holiday program for children in Prep to Grade 6 that is jam packed full of fun!

The July Vacation Care Program runs from Monday 3 July to Friday 14 July. Bookings close Monday 12 June, with parents advised to register their child as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

The program – located at Belmont Park, Croydon South and Springfield Hall, Croydon – offers a range of exciting excursions and centre-based activities, all supervised by Council’s qualified and experienced vacation care staff.

Some of the day trips and activities include:

Disco Fever (4 July): Put on your dancing shoes for an awesome disco at EV’s Youth Centre in Croydon. There will be party games, dancing, singing, airbrush tattoos, party food and lots more!

Pyjama Day (6 July): Don’t worry about getting dressed today! Wear your PJs or favourite onesie to Vacation Care instead. There’ll be loads of fun, games, prizes and laughter planned. Make bath bombs, super slime and dream catchers.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (7 July): Explore the spectacular MINILAND (built using over 1.5 million LEGO bricks!), create an ultra-fast LEGO racing car at the Build & Test zone, and visit LEGO friends in Heartlake City.

Rush HQ (11 July): Climb, balance and bounce the day away at RUSH HQ! Children can challenge themselves in five difference activity zones – Mt Madness, Dodge It, The Gauntlet, Jump Factory and Slam. If the weather permits, we will stop to explore Rowville Adventure Playground.

Wax Hands (12 July): Enjoy creating a wax model of your own hand. Display your wax model hand at home or use it to hold your TV remote or ipod!

Movie time (14 July): School holidays wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the movies. See the latest kid’s movie at Village Cinemas Knox. If the weather permits, we will stop to explore the Tim Neville Arboretum in Ferntree Gully.

If your child has never attended the Vacation Care Program, or attended prior to September 2016, you will need to complete a new enrolment form.
