Bring some warmth to your life this June, by attending a screening of the classic movie musical South Pacific, as part of Karralyka’s toe-tapping Tuesdays.

This Oscar-winning, box-office-topping musical film, released in 1958, is an adaptation of the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein musical of the same name.

The movie features a number of iconic musical numbers, such as Some Enchanted Evening, Bali Ha’i, I’m Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta My Hair and There’s Nothing Like a Dame.

The movie is based on a South Pacific island during World War II, where love blooms between a young American navy nurse, Nellie (played by Mitzi Gaynor) and a mysterious French plantation owner, Emile (played by Rossano Brazzi). When Emile is sent on a dangerous military mission, Nellie has to overcome the prejudice that looks set to end their relationship. Will love triumph?

South Pacific will screen at Karralyka on Tuesday 20 June at 10.30am, as part of Toe-Tapping Tuesdays. Tickets are $11 each, including a delicious morning tea, starting at 9.45am.
