Temporary Storage Container Permits

If you are using a temporary storage container when moving house, you will need to apply for a Temporary Storage Container Permit.

This permit allows you to have a container placed on a naturestrip while you are loading or removing your items.

The maximum time the container can be on the naturestrip is five days.

How much does a Temporary Storage Container Permit cost?

A Temporary Storage Container Permit will cost $940 and consists of:

  • a $440 non-refundable Temporary Storage Container Permit Fee
  • a $500 refundable Security Bond.

The fee covers the administrative costs of the permit system and allows for three inspections by Officers.

View the Temporary Storage Container Permit information sheet for more details on what is required to apply for a permit and your responsibilities.
